UPSC CAPF 2017– The Union Public Service Commission will hold a Written Exam, named UPSC CAPF Exam 2017, on 23 July 2017 for recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Candidates need to apply online through the official website of UPSC from 12 April 2017 to 05 May 2017. Only online application forms are issued hence, no physical forms will be accepted by the Commission. Read all the eligibility conditions carefully before applying for the CAPF Exam 2017. Candidates need to qualify each stage of the selection process in order to get recruited to the post of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The stages of the selection processes are Written Exam, Physical Test and Personal Interview.
Stage-1- Written Examination– The written exam is scheduled to be held on 26 June 2016 and will comprise two papers, Paper-1 & Paper-2. Both the papers will be conducted in English and Hindi languages. In this paper-2, candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/ language skills will be English only.

Stage-3- Interview/Personality Test– Candidates who are declared qualified in the Written exam and Physical Efficiency Tests, will be called for Interview/Personality Test. The Interview/Personality Test will carry 150 Marks. Medically unfit candidates who are allowed to appear before the “Review Medical Board” on their appeal by the Appellate Authority will be provisionally called for Interview/Personality Tests.
